Walking Therapy

Walking therapy is a great way to access face to face counselling in the current climate, as well as the added benefit of keeping fit and all the benefits that comes from walking.

Walking therapy is particularly beneficial for those working in an office or working from home.

Walking Therapy locations

I myself enjoy walking and we are lucky to have some great spots locally.

For my walking therapy I can meet at the following locations:

  • Nantwich Lake - Nantwich
  • Queen's Park - Crewe

All my walking therapy is risk assessed and before sessions starts I will talk to you on the phone to make sure we are both happy with the planned sessions.

During a walk and talk therapy session, you lead the pace just like in a traditional counselling session. Yet the dynamic is fairly different. You and your counsellor are on the same footing, literally.

Walking side by side can be much less intimidating and helps release inhibition. It can be taken as an introduction to counselling, followed up by a more formal type of therapy if you’re apprehensive about being alone in a room with a therapist looking directly at you.

You choose what ever is best.

Something I get asked frequently is about the weather - for me the weather is no issue, but maybe to you. We can talk about this on our initial telephone call along with any other concerns you may have.

There maybe lots of different questions that you have foot wear, distance etc. I will hopefully answer all these for you.

How to book

My walking sessions are £45 per 60 mins.
